Privacy Policy

Quintet · Last updated June 23, 2026

The short version: Quintet is a word game that respects your privacy. We don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we show only non‑personalized ads. Your game progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud. We don’t sell your data — we don’t even collect it ourselves.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the Quintet mobile app (“Quintet,” the “App,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use it. If you have any questions, contact us at support@quintet.app.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account and do not collect personal information that identifies you (such as your name, email, or phone number) directly.

We do not operate our own servers or analytics that collect your personal data.

3. How we use information

4. Advertising

The free version of Quintet shows ads through Google AdMob. We request non‑personalized ads only — ads are not based on your interests or a profile about you, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. AdMob may still process limited data needed to serve a non-personalized ad and to prevent fraud and abuse, as described in Google’s policies:

Quintet PRO subscribers see no ads.

5. In-app purchases

Quintet PRO (monthly subscription or one-time lifetime unlock) is sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment-card details. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account; manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

6. Game Center & multiplayer

If you use Game Center features (online matches, leaderboards), Apple provides those services. Your Game Center nickname and avatar are managed by Apple, and only shown to others as part of normal Game Center play. Using Game Center is optional and controlled in your device settings. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

7. iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Quintet uses Apple’s iCloud to back up and sync your game progress between your devices. This stays within your own Apple account; we do not have access to it. You can turn iCloud off for the App in your device settings.

8. Children’s privacy

Quintet is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we serve only non-personalized ads and do not collect personal data, the App is designed to be privacy-friendly for all ages. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

9. Data retention

Your game data lives on your device and in your iCloud until you delete the App or clear its data. Deleting the App removes its on-device data; iCloud data is governed by your Apple account settings. Ad and purchase data are retained by Google and Apple respectively under their own policies.

10. Your choices & rights

11. Security

Data exchanged with Apple and Google services is protected in transit using standard encryption (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we rely on Apple’s and Google’s industry-standard protections for the services the App uses.

12. International users

The App is available worldwide. The third-party services we use (Apple, Google) may process data in countries other than yours, in accordance with their respective privacy policies and applicable safeguards.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
